Video: IIFYM…My Take

As as a topic of much recent debate, I’m often asked “What do you think of If It Fits Your Macros”? IIFYM refers to the practice of using any and all food sources so long as one’s macronutrient requirements are adhered to and fulfilled. As I understand it, the sources of carbohydrates, fats and proteins are viewed as less important than the actual intake of the desired grams of each macronutrient. Essentially, it doesn’t matter what you eat so long as you consume the amounts of each macronutrient you are meant to consume each day; hence the term, if it fits your macros. Based on my understanding of the concept and the way I’ve seen it employed, I have developed my own opinion of this style of dieting. Again, this is just my opinion.
